Missions

We pray - We give - We go

Restoration Church sends people and resources beyond our walls. We support 28 missionaries around the world, and we send short-term teams two or three times a year. Whether the work requires construction, outreach, medical care, or hands-on service — whatever the work requires, we show up.

The gospel does not stop at Peaceful Valley Road. Since 2001, Restoration has been a sending church: building with local pastors, serving alongside long-term missionaries, and taking teams from Colorado Springs into places where a few willing hands can open a real door.

Some years that has meant a roof in Mexico. Other years it has meant a day camp in Central America, a week with students in Montana, or a walk through the land of the Bible. The places change. The call does not. Our mission is simple.

Pray with us · Give · Join a team

Missionaries and team leaders carry work we cannot see from here. Pray for the 28 missionaries we support, for open doors, for health and courage, and for the people they serve. Prayer is not the warm-up. It is the work.

Giving keeps long-term workers on the field and puts a team on a plane. A gift to missions supports our missionary family and helps fund construction, outreach, medical, and service projects. Every dollar is a way of going when you cannot board the bus yourself.

We send teams two or three times a year. You do not need a construction résumé or a seminary degree. You need a willing heart, a weekend of training, and the courage to say yes. First-timers serve next to people who have been going for years.

This year our teams served in three places.
  • Guatemala — Construction, outreach, and hands-on ministry with local partners — including orphanage care and practical help such as wheelchairs and clean-water filters. A church team, not a sightseeing trip.
  • Billings, Montana — Dream Center — Our youth track returned to the Dream Center for concrete demo, VBS, and neighborhood service. Students do real work, and they come home different.
  • Camp Cedaredge — Young adults spent a week on camp renovations and chapel siding. No passport required. Same call: show up and serve.
  • Footprints of Paul - a pilgrimage to Turkey and Greece to discover more of the New Testament experience.

* We also take a church trip to Israel about every three years — a journey through the land of Scripture that has become one of the ways this congregation stays rooted and keeps sending.

No two weeks are identical. Across the years, our teams have done four kinds of work:
  • Construction — churches, roofs, dorms, bath houses, water projects, concrete, painting, and the unglamorous jobs that let a local ministry keep going.
  • Outreach — VBS, day camps, dramas, soccer camps, feeding, and simple conversations.
  • Medical — care and practical health support offered alongside local partners.
  • Service — whatever the host asks for: a pantry, a home repair, a wheelchair, a water filter, a cleaned-up camp.

*We go at the invitation of pastors and missionaries who stay when we leave. The relationship is the point. The project is how we love them.

a long obedience:

One trip does not make a sending church. A pattern does.

It started in 2001 in Guerrero, Mexico, with an orphanage for children living on the street. From there the work moved through Chihuahua, the Tarahumara mountains, Juárez, El Paso, Jamaica, the Bisti reservation, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Israel, and back again. Youth teams. Young-adult teams. Church-wide teams. Some years one destination. Lately, two or three.

*The names on the roster change. The posture does not: we pray, we give, and we go.

You do not have to have gone before.
  • Pray for our 28 missionaries and for the next team.
  • Give to the missions fund or toward a specific trip.
  • Go on a team this year — Guatemala, a domestic serve trip, or the next Israel journey.

*Talk to the missions team after a service, or write us and tell us which of the three you are ready for. We will help you take the next step.

Pray - Give - Go
