Middle East Update

The Middle East at a Crossroads:
Why There is Hope Amid the Upheaval
The headlines are screaming with news of regime change, drone strikes, and global economic tremors. For many, it feels like the world is spinning out of control. But for the believer, these are not signs of a world ending in a vacuum; they are signs of a Savior returning.
In our recent special update, we explored Luke 21:8-11 NIV, where Jesus warned of wars, uprisings, and "fearful events." We are seeing these echoes today:
The Convergence of Chaos: From the ongoing conflict in Ukraine to the "Twelve-Day War" and the recent death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, the "birth pains" Jesus described are intensifying.
The Esther Connection: Just as Haman sought to destroy the Jewish people in ancient Persia, we see the "Spirit of Amalek" rising again in modern antisemitism. Yet, the book of Esther reminds us that God works behind the scenes to bring about divine reversals.
A Spiritual Revolution: While the Iranian regime has faced crushing blows, the underground Church in Iran is now the fastest-growing in the world. Light shines brightest in the darkest places.
We aren't called to cower in fear, but to "stand up and lift our heads." Our redemption is drawing near. Whether the days ahead bring more "perilous times" or a season of deceptive peace, our mission remains the same: watch, pray, and share the hope of Christ with a world that desperately needs it.

Follow-Up Exercises:
- The "Watchman" Prayer: Set a timer for 5 minutes each day this week to pray specifically for two things: the protection of Israel and the strength of the underground believers in Iran.
- Scripture Memory: Write down **Luke 21:28** on a post-it note: *"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."*
- Gospel Boldness: Identify one person in your life who is anxious about the state of the world. Share with them one reason why you have peace because of your trust in God’s timeline.
